Payment history profile characters

Metro 2 payment history profile character 5: 150 days past due that month

What code 5 means

For this month the account was reported 150 to 179 days past due. Each character covers one month, and the string runs from most recent on the left back 24 months. Bureaus translate the character into their own symbol before you see it.

How it shows on your report

Shown as 150 or 120+ in that month's box, depending on the bureau's key.

How it affects your score

Counts as a late payment for that month. More recent and more severe lates generally weigh more.

What to check

Read the months in order. A delinquency can deepen only about one band per month, so this character should follow the band just below it, or a repeat of the same band. A month you were in an approved forbearance, deferment or trial plan, or a month after payoff, shouldn't carry a late.
