Metro 2 special comment code CK: credit line reduced, collateral lost value
The lender cut the limit on a secured line, such as a home equity line of credit, because the collateral's value dropped. It explains why the limit went down. Unlike a suspension, which stops new draws entirely, a reduction usually leaves the smaller line available to use.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Credit line reduced due to collateral depreciation."
How it affects your score
A lower limit can change utilization math on lines that are counted that way.
What to check
Check the new limit against the lender's written notice, and confirm the reported limit matches the current one. If the property value recovered and the lender restored the line, the remark should come off.
