Metro 2 special comment code H: loan assumed by another party
Someone else took over the loan, such as a buyer assuming your mortgage. Your connection to it should end, and furnisher documentation pairs this comment with an ECOA code of T for the person who left. The assumption itself isn't a negative event; it's a change in who owes the loan.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Loan assumed by another party," often with the account closed on your report.
How it affects your score
Neutral. History before the assumption stays.
What to check
After an assumption that released you, new payments and any later lates by the new borrower shouldn't keep appearing on your report. If they do, the release wasn't applied to your record.
